Combined Defence Services, or CDS for short, is an exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India to recruit officers into the Indian Armed Forces. It is held twice a year, in February and November. The exam tests candidates on their knowledge of various topics related to the defence services such as Military History, Geography and Current Affairs.

The Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam is divided into two parts: Written Examination and Interviews & Personality Tests.
