The organization consists of several departments including Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), Isro Telemetry Tracking & Command Network (ISTRAC) etc. Each department focuses on one or more specific areas related to space science and technology such as launching vehicles, remote sensing applications etc.
