TVS stands for Thirukkurungudi Vengaram Sundram, an Indian conglomerate headquartered in Chennai. The group was founded in 1911 by T.V.Sundaram Iyengar, who started a transport business with a single horse drawn vehicle in south India. Over the years, the company has diversified into different sectors and has become one of India’s most reputed business houses.

The company began as a transport business but soon expanded into automotive components manufacturing, automobile production and financial services. TVS is also involved in rubber products, engineering components, alloy wheels and motorcycle parts manufacturing.
