Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is an apex body representing the interests of India’s business and industry. It was established in 1927, making it one of the oldest and largest business organizations in India.

FICCI is a non-government, not-for-profit organization that serves as a platform for economic policy dialogue between the government and industry, to promote trade and investments in India. It also acts as a catalyst for policy initiatives by bringing together various stakeholders from both public and private sectors. In addition, FICCI works with international organizations such as World Bank, OECD, WTO, UNCTAD, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), etc., to promote global economic integration of Indian businesses.

FICCI works closely with the Government of India on issues related to fiscal policies, taxation reforms, industrial promotion policies, financial sector reforms and foreign direct investments (FDI). It also provides inputs to the government on preparing suitable legal frameworks for promoting ease of doing business in India. Furthermore, FICCI has been actively involved in formulating plans for infrastructure development across various sectors such as roads, ports & airports etc.
