The full form of ‘SSC’ in exams is ‘Staff Selection Commission’. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an Indian organization which was established by the Government of India in 1975. It is responsible for recruiting staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in its Subordinate Offices. It also conducts examinations for recruitment to non-technical Group C and Group D posts in departments under Central Government.

The SSC has a wide range of functions, from recruiting personnel to conducting examinations, training, research and development.
